What Wager Man is about
Cole Vance, a professional card cheat catcher, is reborn on the day his father was killed back in 2006. Drawing on his past-life memories and sleight-of-hand gambling skills, he teams up with Yukina Miyamoto, the head of the Red Crane Club. He breaks through layers of traps set by the King and Scorpion criminal syndicates one after another.
Wager Man is a 71-episode vertical short drama from HappyShort, built around second chance and romance.
Is it worth watching?
Watch it for a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently. On top of that: the push and pull between two leads who shouldn't work but do.
At roughly 1–3 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
