The DramaNext guide
What The Golden Immortal Descends to Earth is about
Lu Ming was originally a Golden Immortal in the Celestial Realm but, due to massive spirit stone debts, was forced to reincarnate in the mortal world. He transmigrated into a gambler killed by debt and unexpectedly discovered the gambler had a mute wife as beautiful as a goddess, cruelly mistreated despite her virtue.
It runs 58 short episodes on Vigloo and leans on marriage drama, second chance and fantasy tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned. On top of that: a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently.
At roughly 1–2 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
