The DramaNext guide
What Lies Above the Clouds is about
After enduring betrayal and injustice, a senior air traffic controller gets an unexpected second chance at life. No longer the pushover she once was, she returns with razor-sharp expertise and an iron will to protect the skies. When rogue pilots, reckless violations, and false accusations threaten to ruin her career again, she fights back by the book.
It runs 60 short episodes on iDrama and leans on revenge, second chance and secret identity tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently.
The whole series takes roughly 1–2 hours, so it's an easy binge.
