The DramaNext guide
What The False Queen is about
Ella, the female commander of the North, learns that her twin sister Cecilia was tortured to death by Crown Prince Cassius. She sneaks into the palace under her sister’s identity to exact revenge. She reorganizes the court with ruthless measures, whips Cassius, exposes the adultery of his mistress Isabelle, and forms an alliance with Duke Raymond.
It runs 70 short episodes on HappyShort and leans on revenge, secret identity and family secrets tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: waiting for the truth about who the lead really is to come out.
Plan on roughly 1–3 hours from the first episode to the finale.
