What The Conscientious Contractor is about
Li Fan, a migrant worker, was fired by the unscrupulous contractor Wang Gang without pay. Furious, he swore that if he ever became a contractor, he would never withhold wages. By chance, he activated the Conscientious Contractor System. The system granted him 1 million yuan for staff benefits only. He earns a 5,000-yuan reward for every new hire, and employee happiness points can upgrade his company, boost registered capital and unlock extra rewards. Li Fan hires people overlooked by others: elderly Zhang Dechang, ex-convict Zhao Hu and his crew, unemployed underpaid civil engineering graduate Su Wan, and her boyfriend Chen Haoxiang, who speaks Mauritian Creole.
