The DramaNext guide
What Summoner of Legendary Heroes is about
Betrayed by his wife and drowning in debt, Han Fei accidentally awakens Ling'er, a thousand-year-old fox spirit, and gains the magical power to summon legendary figures from all walks of history. At the cost of his lifespan, he summons icons such as Wong Fei-hung, Hua Tuo and Qiao Feng. He humiliates his enemies, rescues his parents, and pursues the woman he admires.
It runs 100 short episodes on HappyShort and leans on revenge, marriage drama and fantasy tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
Watch it for the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned.
The whole series takes roughly 2–4 hours, so it's an easy binge.
