What Taoist Kid Earns Merit is about
Young Taoist Tianbao from Xuanqing Temple heads down the mountain to earn merits and change her master’s money-losing fate. With powerful magic and quick wits, she rescues her wronged eldest brother, second brother whose soul swapped with his fiancée, third brother attacked by villains, fourth brother encountering monsters in a gold mine, and fifth brother trapped in a honey trap.
HappyShort released it as 61 bite-size episodes mixing fantasy and family secrets, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for fantasy, the payoff is a world with its own rules and a lead who learns to bend them. On top of that: the kids and family ties that pull the leads back together.
At roughly 1–2 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
