The DramaNext guide
What Dear X is about
Drama major goddess Ji-yeon is living a dream, getting cast in a famous director's work. But a deepfaked sex-tape with the director is released, and her life turns into a living hell. The culprit is Yu-mi, her best friend. She is also having an affair with Geonwoo, Ji-yeon's boyfriend. With Su-ho, who told her the truth, Ji-yeon is determined to get revenge on Yu-mi.
It runs 64 short episodes on Vigloo and leans on revenge and romance tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: the push and pull between two leads who shouldn't work but do.
At roughly 1–2 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
