The DramaNext guide
What Ancestor in Young Form is about
Mystic ancestor Lingxiao fails her ascension tribulation and inhabits her eight-year-old adopted daughter Si Yao. With mighty magic, she uncovers plots and defends the wealthy Si family, turning from an outcast into the family’s treasure. While helping the Si clan survive calamity, she gathers spirit shards to regain her adult form and begins a millennium-spanning romance with cold CEO Si Boyan.
It runs 70 short episodes on HappyShort and leans on CEO romance, billionaire and fantasy tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for CEO romance, the payoff is the power gap between the leads and who ends up holding the cards. On top of that: the hidden-wealth reveals and the people who misjudged the lead.
The whole series takes roughly 1–3 hours, so it's an easy binge.
