The DramaNext guide
What A Scheming Maid is about
Born into an ancient witch family, Sia had her peaceful life shattered by her tutor, Seraphine. The cunning governess seduced Sia’s father, stole the family’s century-protected Moonstone and all their fortunes. Plunged into despair, Sia’s mother lost her sanity, while her father died by suicide. Eighteen years later, to avenge her family, Sia changed her name to Layla and infiltrated Seraphine’s household as a maid.
A Scheming Maid is a 60-episode vertical short drama from HappyShort, built around revenge, marriage drama and romance.
Is it worth watching?
Watch it for the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned.
The whole series takes roughly 1–2 hours, so it's an easy binge.
