What When Our Marriage Was a Lie is about
Dancer Claire Hayes loved Victor Carter for 5 years. After his sister Sienna broke her leg, Victor proposed. Married 3 years, she found it a scam: he only wanted a pardon for Sienna, and filmed their intimacy to shame her. Worse, Victor was caught watching Sienna's video. Heartbroken, Claire swapped the video at her birthday party, exposing his obsession. She divorced him, then dated Gavin Wolfe, the Eight Houses heir who'd loved her for 10 years, leaving Victor disgraced.
