What Vengeance of the Serpent Empress is about
A black snake transformed into a human form and was saved by the Empress. Originally intending to repay the Empress’s kindness, it could only watch in horror as the Noble Consort cut off the Empress’s hands and feet, turning her into a “human pig,” then left her in a vat to be devoured by insects and snakes. Vowing revenge, the black snake took the form of the Empress, Wu Zhixian.
HappyShort released it as 51 bite-size episodes mixing revenge, billionaire and fantasy, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for revenge, the payoff is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: the hidden-wealth reveals and the people who misjudged the lead.
At roughly 1–2 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
