The DramaNext guide
What The Ugly Girl Turned Pretty is about
Tessa’s crush throws her cinnamon roll in the trash and calls her a fat pig in front of the whole class. When she finally stops begging to be chosen, she starts glowing up and catches everyone’s eye, including the boy who destroyed her. But Tessa has already chosen Adrian, the masked outcast everyone calls scarred and pathetic. By the time Chase wants her back, Adrian’s secret is out: he was never weak.
ReelShort released it as 22 bite-size episodes mixing secret identity and romance, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is waiting for the truth about who the lead really is to come out. On top of that: the push and pull between two leads who shouldn't work but do.
The whole series takes about 26–48 minutes, so it's an easy binge.
On ReelShort it has 8.3M views, so plenty of people have already watched it.
