What Scarred Carp’s Rebirth is about
Chen Bo, a short-video creator, was murdered and dumped at sea after discovering his wife’s affair with their partner. Reborn as a scarred carp, he awakened a Spirit Carp Evolution System. Helped by his friend Ye Ming, he went viral online as the scarred carp and evolved continuously via popularity, defeating fierce giant fish. He finally completed his ultimate evolution and regained human form.
It runs 80 short episodes on HappyShort and leans on marriage drama and second chance tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned. On top of that: a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently.
Plan on roughly 2–3 hours from the first episode to the finale.
