What Queen’s Gambit: Unseated is about
Seraphina, a fake heiress from a wealthy family, is deeply in love with Ethan. She has long been manipulated by his words and has become timid and sensitive in personality. She has also been frequently bullied by the principal's daughter Victoria and her group on campus. When pushed into the pond and on the brink of death, she foresaw the tragic ending of being stranded on the streets after her identity was exposed.
It runs 45 short episodes on FunDrama and leans on billionaire, second chance and secret identity tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for billionaire, the payoff is the hidden-wealth reveals and the people who misjudged the lead. On top of that: a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently.
Plan on roughly 1–2 hours from the first episode to the finale.
