What Mistress Was the Heiress is about
Disguised as a lowly seafood packer, mafia heiress Claire Callahan secretly builds her lover Derek Cross into Greyport Harbor's most powerful boss, waiting for the wedding he promised. But once he seizes the docks, Derek publicly claims Evelyn, a fraud posing as the Callahan heiress, and trades Claire to kidnappers. He never suspects the woman he discarded owns every dock, warehouse, and shipping route he controls.
