What House Rules: Family Is No Excuse is about
Julia Reiser, the chairwoman of Reiser Group, checks out a postpartum center for her pregnant daughter-in-law, Myla Diaz. The VIP suite she reserved is forcibly taken over by Skylar Tawn, who arrogantly claims she is carrying a child of the Reiser family. Skylar even calls Julia's son, Chase Reiser, on the spot to complain.
It runs 40 short episodes on Reelife and leans on revenge, secret identity and family secrets tropes, with each episode ending on a hook.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: waiting for the truth about who the lead really is to come out.
At about 48–88 minutes in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
