The DramaNext guide
What General Harem Queen is about
Disguised as a man, Dugu Banruo bravely fought on the frontier. Tragically, her twin sister, the empress in the palace, was tortured to death by the emperor. Banruo rushed back to the capital overnight, took her sister’s place, and staged the empress’s miraculous resurrection. She waged a covert battle of wits against the emperor and Noble Consort Xian in the harem.
HappyShort released it as 77 bite-size episodes mixing secret identity and family secrets, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
