What The Sea Chose Her is about
Jade, a Black lesbian gymnast, is relentlessly bullied by her teammate Vivian for her sexuality and striking beauty. Driven to despair, she dives into an abandoned pool and encounters Nyxara, a fierce and mesmerizing siren warrior.
The Sea Chose Her is a 30-episode vertical short drama from CubeTV, built around fantasy, secret identity and romance.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is a world with its own rules and a lead who learns to bend them. On top of that: waiting for the truth about who the lead really is to come out.
At about 36–66 minutes in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
