The DramaNext guide
What Daxia's First King Starts by Hunting in the Deep Mountains is about
Transported to a brutal ancient era, he faces a deadly winter, a nationwide famine, and parasitic relatives who leave his family to starve. Instead of giving up, he uses modern survival skills to conquer the deadly wilderness, turning wild game and forgotten resources into wealth. Soon, he crushes his kin's greed, unites his neighbors, and challenges corrupt elites.
iDrama released it as 85 bite-size episodes mixing second chance and romance, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
The draw here is a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently. On top of that: the push and pull between two leads who shouldn't work but do.
Plan on roughly 2–3 hours from the first episode to the finale.
