The DramaNext guide
What As Villain, I Thrive is about
The author Zhu Qingyi transmigrates into Zhu Qing, a doomed minor villain she created. A system binds her, requiring her to live till the story’s end to go back. She arrives just after breaking the red sandalwood carving — her half-demon husband Qi Yunshi’s mother’s relic that restrains his demonic power. To survive, she lies and promises to fix it.
As Villain, I Thrive is a 62-episode vertical short drama from HappyShort, built around marriage drama, second chance and secret identity.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for marriage drama, the payoff is a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned. On top of that: a lead who knows how it went wrong last time and plays it differently.
The whole series takes roughly 1–2 hours, so it's an easy binge.
