The DramaNext guide
What The General's Daughter Strikes Back is about
Shen Zhiwan is reborn on her wedding day, facing Lu Yanheng, who calls off the marriage for her adopted sister Hua Shuying. No longer meek, she impresses Sixth Prince Xiao Yunzhou with her talent and martial prowess. Together, they expose the conspiracy, exact revenge, marry, and live happily.
DramaWave released it as 80 bite-size episodes mixing revenge, marriage drama and second chance, made to watch on a phone in one sitting or a few.
Is it worth watching?
If you came for revenge, the payoff is the slow build to a payback that lands hard. On top of that: a marriage that starts on the wrong foot and has to be earned.
At roughly 2–3 hours in total, it's quicker to finish than most full-length series.
